Knoxville – Collier Preserve Park, Initial Phase

Collier Preserve project had two work days thus far. On November 27, 2018, fencing was removed from the area. On November 30, 2018 trails were cleared, many bag of trash were removed, and invasive brush was removed. Although it was a cool and rainy day, much work was completed. At a separate location, three of the trail benches were assembled. TVA Employees joined in the effort as part of their "Day of Serving". A total of 17 TVA employees. 15 retirees, and 4 staff members from Legacy Parks Foundation volunteered their time to make things happen. Dr. Collier donated the land to Legacy Parks Foundation for development and also spent 11-30 with us.

TVA Retirees Association (TVARA)

The TVA Retirees Association is the official organization of all TVA retirees. It was organized to serve the varied interests of TVA and its retirees and their beneficiaries, and to help keep them informed of TVA developments affecting their interests. It has been recognized by TVA as the responsible representative of retirees in conveying retiree views.
